Inca has had 9 kittens!!!!
Inca had 9 kittens on 6th May, and she is being an excellent mum. She is eating for England, and needs special food to ensure her calcium levels don't drop while feeding so many kittens. She loves them and cuddles them, and often asks me to babysit while she gets a little downtime playing with the other cats.
There are 4 Siamese and 5 Orientals.
This is a special time for us getting to know the kittens before they have their visitors in July. They will be ready for their new families in August. One kitten is staying at Avalon, we will have to wait and see which one fits in best with our cat family.
If you would like an Avalon kitten, do contact us and we can have a chat about what you are looking for and about your family and pets. The kittens will be looking for pet homes, not breeding homes. Some of the kittens will be show quality.
Keep an eye on this page - lots of photos to come as they develop!

Kittens hoped for in the summer.
Inca is hoping for kittens this summer.
She has been honeymooning with Ashjolex Tegatco Teris, a lovely cinnamon boy from Tegatco.
If there are kittens, they will probably be cinnamon, chocolate, lilac or fawn in colour, and their patterns could be Siamese pointed or Oriental tabbies or self, with or without silver (smoke, shaded, etc).
All the kittens will be PRA negative as Inca and Tiz are both PRA negative. PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) is an uncommon genetic disease that several breeders are now working together to test for, with the hope of ultimately breeding this out of Siamese and Orientals.
